We understand this thing through an example. that your friend name is "yashpal" and he is working in tea stall so it is possible that you saved his contact number as "yashpal chai wala" so that time truecaller save his contact number as you save' on the server.

If now yashpal calls anyone Yashpal's number will be replaced by "yashpal chai wala" because yashpal's number already saved on truecaller's server. so that time yashpal want to change name in truecaller app.

Reason second

The second reason is that you save your info in truecaller app and you lose your sim card and the number is switch for another person. You already saved your name with number on truecaller but You are no longer the owner of the SIM card. So this time the person have to change the name in the truecaller app.

Steps for doing it.

1. First go to playstore and install truecaller if you already installed thats good, Make sure that you are logged in.
2. Go to "setting" button which is red in image at the left side.

3. Then Click on "edit profile".

4. Now you saw the detail which you filled before.Change the right detail and then save it.

After Filling Right Details Click on Tick button which is in the last images.
Now your Details is changed in truecaller.
